MUSCAT: Following Techno Plastic Industry’s earlier announcement of appointing its new team of executives across
various operational functions, Techno, at the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), has now stepped up the game with the
transformation of its legal entity from a Limited Liability Company (LLC) to a Closed Joint Stock Company (SAOC).
This legal conversion brings the company in alignment with the regulations and principles of Capital Market Authority (CMA). The move has bolstered Techno’s vision and has validated the company’s increasing strategic contribution
to the Omani economy and maintenance of its stability under the umbrella of the Omani corporate system. In continuation to steer the organisation toward a sustainable future, Techno Plastic Industry SAOC has further appointed new directors to the Board.
Nabil Salim Al Ruwaidhi, Chairman, and a leader of excellence,holds comprehensive experienceof more than 28 years
spanning various sectors of oil and gas, manufacturing, services, sales and marketing, aquaculture, and fisheries. As a civil and industrial engineer, he has completed his master’s degree from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). While encompassing an array of functions, Al Ruwaidhi has led several large oil and gas projects (more than $150 million) ranging from
feasibility studies, legal structure formations, and project developments to commission stages and concluding acquisition and merger transactions.
Imad Muhammad Adnan Al Sabbagh, Board Member, is aproven and competent leader with
extensive professional experience of more than 23 years in various sectors of energy, FMCG, electronics, automotive and hardware industries. He has completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in strategy from Paris, France. Al Sabbagh’s exceptional expertise ranges fromstrategic planning, finance, andP&L to human resource management.A management prowess insales and marketing, he has successfullymanaged nearly $550million of topline revenue and ateam of up to 160 multinationalprofessionals.
Haitham Saeed Saleem Khawar Al Kathiri, Deputy Chairman,
is a professional businessman with proficient managerial expertise in the manufacturing sector. Currently, he is also the
shareholder of Techno Plastic Industry SAOC.
Ghada Said Saleem Khawar, Board Member, is a professional
businesswoman with remarkable expertise in the government and private sectors. She is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Sharjah, UAE. Complimenting her academia, she has previously held a successful position as a General Manager at Bin Hayl Group. Currently, she is also a shareholder at Techno Plastic Industry SAOC.
Eng. Omar Ahmed Salim Qatan, CEO and Board Member,is a skilled business leader, possessingover 34 years of expansiveexperience including 20 years inBoard. Eng. Qatan is a Civil Engineerand has completed his BScfrom the University of California,Davis, and MSc. from the Universityof Leeds. Hailing from OmanOil Marketing Company (OOMCO)and currently the Chairmanof Muscat Gases SAOG, he hassuccessfully fulfilled multiple positions
with remarkable footprints throughout his career. Notably, in 1999 he phenomenally executed a $100 million sewage project in Salalah. In 2017, Eng. Qatan spearheaded OOMCO’s revenue to $1.3 billion. His strive to excel further fetched peak profits of $31 million. A trained professional in JMW’s Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School, his career
tenures have centered around transforming struggling businesses into success which reflects his beliefs of working with a clear vision and values. To safeguard the interests of the shareholders and stakeholders alike, these fiduciaries will enhance strategic oversight and ensure corporate governance.
